As is the eagle, so is the Lord

Deuteronomy 32:11

Let me know if you need any prayers, or if you would like me to add your words to this picture.  In Christ’s love, Marilyn

Ever rub someone’s cheek during a moment of intimacy.  Holding a baby, gently rubbing their cheek and they smile.  Oh, how sweet!

Last Sunday on the way to Church I thought about how soon we would be in the presense of the Holy Spirit.  I knew that my aches would go away, as they do every time I go to Church.

This time, as we were singing, I felt a gentle rub on my cheek, like the one described above.  Instant smile!  Oh, how I love Him!

I did look around for a stray hair, white feather, anything that could have touched my cheek.  Even told Jerry about it and he couldn’t find anything either.

I was filled with Joy, and the aches stopped then too.  God is SO good.  Believe He is with you, and capable of miracles and healings.  And know that He wants to see you smile.

Today, I started on yet another bad corner of my yard.  I usually avoid photos of that area, because I don’t like it.  But now, it’s growing on me!  Gonna put another “bed” in front for maybe radishes, on the east side against the fence for tomatoes.

Next, gotta figure out what I wanna do with the old cedar fence boards.  Oh, the possibilities!

Round two done!  Need more dirt.  And plants.  I love spring!

Last night we were given some random plants, not sure what they are but just happened to have a place to put them.  The long one on the left is still empty, for veges maybe.  Here’s a pic.  Big round plant on the right side is also new, will build around it soon.

Psalm 23

Psalm 23 = Comfort food!

As it says in the photo, above, Jesus prayed for those, not just offending Him, but ultimately killing Him.  As Christians, we have Jesus living in us.  We are to die to ourselves, and let Him live in us.  If this is indeed what we have chosen, we can no longer be offended.  Jesus living in us could, but chooses not to.  Father forgive them.  Father forgive them.

I often think of a desert, hot and dry.  In the distance is a stream of fresh water.  You can smell it, hear it.  Maybe you can see it.  It will not only be refreshing, but life saving!  Would you, could you, ignore it?  Can you walk the other way?  I don’t think so.  But yet, that is what I see people doing, on another scale.

Jesus, IS that living water.  Life saving like the stream, and yes, refreshing.  Run to Him.  He will give you peace, even in the deserts.  Wisdom, if you ask.  Calm in the storms.  Wealth, yet in poverty.  Love!  Why do people walk the other way.  For us, life with Him is even more fun, blessed, awesome.  The emptiness worldly people seem to be trying to fill, is really a need for our God.

Proverbs 3:13-18 says “Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.  She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.  Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.  Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.  She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.”

Be Blessed!

Be Blessed

Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.

I find it amazing that the people that say “Can’t we all just get along?” mean with everyone else except us.  Might be generalizing here, but …  it seems “they” mean everyone except “Christians”.

Jesus is the Way.  We want everyone else to join us with Him in Heaven!

Jesus instructed us to Love our neighbors, Love our enemies even.

But does that mean we have to accept their bad behaviors?  No, it doesn’t.

Jesus instructed us on many aspects of this.  Pray for your enemies.

Forgive them?  Yes, but in Luke, it specifies “if they repent”.  Repent?  That means stop doing what is wrong.

Luke 17:3-4  “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.  Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”

Now, in this verse, brother or sister means a fellow disciple, which makes me think that is a fellow Christian.  But, we’ll have more on that later.

Jesus said to ‘brush the dust off your sandals and walk away’…?

Matthew 10:14  The Message (MSG) “When you knock on a door, be courteous in your greeting. If they welcome you, be gentle in your conversation. If they don’t welcome you, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way. You can be sure that on Judgment Day they’ll be mighty sorry—but it’s no concern of yours now.

If you lie, that is a sin, and yes, I might call you on it.  One of the 10 commandments say not to.  Having other gods also.

Basically, I will share Jesus.  I will love the sinner, yet hate the sin.  Yet, I will not accept the behavior.  So, can’t we get along?  Will “you all” accept us as we are?

Today is the first day of Spring, 2012.  We barely had a winter.  The past couple weeks have been off the charts warm.  Several days in the 70’s, and yes, I have a sunburn!  I raked and trimmed and found some tulips emerging through the ground.

I still expect snow, but it won’t last 6 months any more.  Yesterday, we had a nice rain.  The grass is turning green.

Robins are back.

I love spring!  Can’t stop smiling.  🙂

Like the previously posted word clouds, but with shapes.  Fun stuff!

I’m more patient this year.  Maybe because our winter didn’t really start until January.  Now, I know the snow won’t last for 6 months, like it usually does.

Less than a week until groundhogs day.  I know that’s silly, yet it is a marker.  Closer to spring!

March 11th.  Daylight savings time.  Stupid, but since we have it, I will enjoy the longer sunshine at the end of our day.  Sunset tomorrow, about 5:30 pm, March 10th, about 6:30, March 11th, about 7:30.  Yes, please.

March 21st.  First day of spring.  I know, here in South Dakota, that doesn’t mean much more than another marker.  Spring, yes.  Closer to warm weather.  Closer to sprouting tulips.  And daffodils.  Chives, winter onions, and garlic.

Ahh, green grass.  Worms, and robins.

Yeah, I’m ready!
