I bought some tomato plants and today I’m going home to plant them.  It’s still early in May and SD weather’s not always kind to early planting.

But … I do know a trick.

If the weather dips back to freezing, or it snows again, give this idea a try.  The only down side is you have to get up before the sun hits your plants.

Spray them with your garden hose before the sun gets to them and the frost won’t hurt them.  I did that last fall, and the tomato plants lasted way longer than the first – or second frost.
