I’ve heard this song for years, but really listened to it yesterday.  The first line that got my attention was “I will praise you in this storm.”  And I do.  Here’s another line:   “I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining”.  This song could be my life song.  I’ve gone through some storms!  The important part is the Praise!   I have inserted a few Bible verses that help say what I am thinking.

James 1:2
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, (NIV)

James 1:12
12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. (NIV)

Rom 8:28
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (NIV)

I KNOW that no matter what I go through, God is with me and everything will work out in the end.

Another line from the song says “But as the thunder rolls I barely hear You whisper through the rain “I’m with you”.

Isa 8:10
10(b), for God is with us. (NIV)

Hag 1:13
13 Then Haggai, the LORD’s messenger, gave this message of the LORD to the people: “I am with you,” declares the LORD. (NIV)

Amen, God is with us.  Be blessed.

You can listen to the song here, on this youtube link: Casting Crowns – Praise You In The Storm and, I’ve added the lyrics to the song below.

“Praise You In This Storm” Casting Crowns

I was sure by now
God You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

And I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
And every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to you
And you raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can’t find You

But as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
“I’m with you”
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
